A few years ago, my mother had a minor operation.
The morning of the surgery, we were in the admissions line, and she was crying and scared of going under the knife. The woman in front of us in line spent 20 minutes talking to her, consoling her, etc. Then we asked her what she was there for: surgery to remove a brain tumor. Her strength GMH.
