My dad was in the military and I'd always been proud of his strength and courage.
6 months ago, I got stationed overseas, and was terrified. I checked my email at the airport, to find a long, emotional email from my dad ending with "I'm here to tell you that it is YOU who are MY hero." I read it when I'm homesick, and it GMH.
