Big deal. Personally this takes hope from me. The fact that you are so desperate for love that you want to substitute it with sex is just sad. I think it means more if you are not so dependent on the way the world views love, but instead you think about what love means to you. As for me, I plan to wait until I find the right girl and marry her before I give something so precious away. I too am an avid gamer and spend most of my time online or on my tv, but I am willing to wait.

woah, hold on a minute!! Drugs are illegal, dangerous, kill people and so on. Sex is kind of a fundamental part of life, and creates people... and I would certainly hope to have it at some point.. not *because* it is everywhere, that just rubs it in. I'm not saying that this post gives me hope because it makes me feel like everyone else, it gives me hope because it's showing that even an avid WoW player can have sex, so someone like me shouldn't be worrying that I'm too weird/antisocial etc... this person obviously doubted if they would ever have sex, but they did, so even for those of us who worry that they'll never get there, there is hope! I don't think sex creates love, not at all, but I'm not looking for a husband, I just want someone to find me sexy. I really can't see that a heroin habit is similar to losing your virginity.

First, the internet is international. Just because certain drugs are illegal in the US doesn't mean they are everywhere. Second, why would drugs being illegal matter? You shouldn't not do something because it is illegal, you should not do something because you think it is wrong, or you just don't want to.

wow, um, ok. Well something being illegal does tend to put me off it, but you're right, you should have your own morals as well. And I wouldn't take drugs because they're damaging to yourself and to society. Sex on the other hand is totally natural, and is only dangerous in extreme cases, which are a tiny minority (i.e. paedophiles are a very small percentage of all the people who have sex). Anyway, I'm not from the US...

Alright, well, it gives me hope! I mean, it's a huge stereotype! Also, you don't have to create an account to create posts, only to comment on others' stories, so it's entirely plausible that they used that nickname because they didn't want it associated with them. Back to the hopey-thingy, I don't see why everyone's so up-in-arms about sex. I mean, it's sex! And conventional wisdom says that those who play WoW don't get any. Ever. So it's nice to hear about someone who did. And personally, I like lighter-hearted things like this that I can directly relate to sprinkled in with all the hard-hitting cancer-and-military stories. There's only so many times that hearing about your beloved childhood dog who has no fur because he felt bad for your cancer making you your favorite dinner when you were suicidal while watching through the window your disabled nephew give his last dollar to a homeless person who needed it more than he did, the night before your dog died. Also, why should "losing your virginity" be inappropriate just because there "might be some young readers"? If someone's really too young to be exposed to the human life cycle (assuming, of course, there is such an age), then the phrase will be meaningless to them. I say good job, but i also don't feel like this GMH. Im also a big gamer, but i waited till i found the girl i believe i would spend the rest of my life with. Sex is sex. It's fun and amazing, but when its with the girl/guy you love it isn't just sex. It's something more...something deeper. To be honest, I'm rather disturbed that this is a Top GMH. So what if you're a gamer? Is it really THAT big of a deal? I mean, sure, it might be for you, but honestly. If it gives this many people hope that some gamer lost their virginity, then that's just sad. I think that this is the only post on here that I don't like... As for everybody here that's defending this post by saying that it breaks the stereotype - I know quite a few WoW players that have lives, girlfriends, etc. They just don't waste their entire lives on the game. This really should be on the site people...well in my opinion it should, because the point of this GMH is that the person is breaking a cruel stereotype.

i'm verry sorry that you had sex this way. i was madly in love with my husband when i first had sex with him (before we were married) and it almost ruined us. it caused so many problems and took the spark out of our honeymoon night. there are so many times when i wonder what it would have been like if i had waited.also i had it with another man before i met my husband and when things turned sour i thought that i was soiled and that no one would take me after that. and as my husband pointed out your future spouse honestly wants to know that you were there only one. when he found out he was devestating. sex is good when used within marriage but everytime you have sex with some one and leave them it rips your heart into a million pieces... i'm so sorry. and on the girls point of view... after i had done that i was afraid every night that he would leave to find some one else. a girl puts alot of her self into that and not only can you hurt yourself this way but her as well... now that i am married i wonder how any one could do what i used to do... the heart break it causes when the other person is out of your life or when you think thier going to leave... i'm so sorry. but gamers, nerds...whatever do have hope. i am one and my husband is a wonderfull loving man that gmh

This gives me hope, I'm an avid player, and a female one at that. It's a common assumption that female players are 'unattractive' so I'm afraid of even trying to open up with my love of gaming at times, even though I know that is not true. I'm friends with some of the most beautiful girls I've ever met online :) even if they don't believe it. But the trade chat on my server has a liking for making fun of female players, even going as far to call them 'fat ugly cows' or urban legends. It's also a popular assumption that beyond the stuckup asses WoW players can't have a love life. So, you GMH :D /cheer

This really makes me depressed :( I mean. Cool that it GYH but it doesn't GMH at all, but it's my opinion. I am currently with a boyfriend that is sort of obsessed with that stuff but I won't do that. I'm waiting until I'm married :) and I play games all the time and am on the internet all the time and am the classic 'dork' or 'nerd' but it doesn't get to me.
