Two years ago, I was told that without a kidney transplant, I was going to die.

Just as I felt like giving up, my best friend died in a car crash. It turned out a week before she had registered as an organ donor. Thanks to her, I am alive two years later.

Brittney Marie Stanton, it is because of you I am alive. Forever a part of me, you GMH.

Dolphins don't breathe automatically - they breathe when they tell themselves to breathe.

More Info: When dolphins sleep, they lie on their side with their blowhole above the water surface. They sleep with only half of their brain at time, and they take turns sleeping with different sides of its brain. The other half stays awake so the dolphin remembers to breathe. This also means that dolphins cannot receive anesthetics because they will stop breathing.

*** Random LoveGivesMeHope Story ***

My mom and I contracted Dengue fever at the same time.

Since it's a hemorrhaging fever that causes our platelets to drop dangerously low, we both needed blood badly. Unable to give blood himself, my boyfriend drove people from our school to the hospital to donate blood for us.

4 days and 12 donors later, we were both well. His dedication GMH.

I didn't get the same impression from the post; I think it's beautiful. I'm sorry for the loss of your friend, though.

I think that the wording of a post does not take away from its message. Your life is a tribute to your friend. make her proud.

I have 5 kids, and my worst nightmare would be to lose one of them to a random accident. The fact that your friend's mom and dad were able to go along with donating her kidney GMH, and the fact that a part of their daughter lives in you no doubt gives them hope. Live joyfully, for yourself and for them!

This made me cry. Friendship is such a beautiful thing! I would give up my kidney for my best friend if it meant keeping her alive. RIP Brittney Marie Stanton
