A boy was dying of cancer and needed an expensive brain surgery, but his family, broke and desperate, couldn't afford it. His 8 yr old took sister Tess took her piggy bank savings to a pharmacist in order to buy a 'miracle'. it just so happens that the right man witnessed the little girl's tears at the pharmacy counter: a neurosurgeon. He performed the surgery for free.

*** Random LoveGivesMeHope Story ***

Due to a medical condition over summer i was wheelchair bound, my boyfriend spent every day with me doing normal things, going to the beach, shopping etc.

I got invited to his family's meal but didnt want to go as i was embarassed about my chair. My boyfriend borrowed his grandads wheelchair so i wasn't alone.

He's PERFECT. He ALWAYS GMH.

Aaaaaaw! The story after it (though I'm not sure if it's true or not) that's on that site is sad too, but this one's full of hope!

Things like this do happen. You do just so happen to meet the right person in the right place, at the right time. I was once given the wrong medicine at a pharmacy(luckily, I noticed before I took any) and when I went back to get the right stuff, the man behind me in line just so happened to be a lawyer and offered to help me file a lawsuit(he thought I had already taken some, of course. otherwise he wouldn't have offered). Of course, I declined(No harm, no foul, and all), but it was still cool...and now I know to double-check my meds before leaving the pharmacy. =P

Oh, this made me cry. A friend of mine is suffering from cancer but it's not in her brain, it's pancreatic and it's inoperable but she is having to deal with so many expensive treatments. this just gives me hope for her in her condition because it reminds me that you can't know what to expect. especially when you are trying to help save someone else's life like the little girl in this story.

Frankly, I don't care if it's true or not. I believe it - miracles happen. However, it gives the world hope. We need more of that. It's beautiful.

I agree with 22. I don't care if this was pulled out of someone's imagination or not. This gives me so much hope. From the little girl's piggy bank to the neurosurgeon.

http://www.snopes.com/glurge/price.asp By Snopes.com it's called Undetermined, so it might be true, but leaning towards not... That doesn't make it any less heartwarming and sweet... And it can give people hope...

Haha #4, why? So he could be dead before he got off the waiting list? Or so that they could send him to the US to get good care? Like Canada does?

I think this is a nice story. Who cares if it is true or not at least someone thought something nice like this. Isn't a thought just as important as the deed. Someone will read this and do something nice for someone, even if they aren't dying. The dying aren't more important than the living.
