Last Sunday, my dad was at a church service in Austin, TX. An obviously homeless man sat next to him in the pew.

During the offering, the man put $2 into the basket.

Selflessness GMH.

You're more likely to die on your way to buy a lottery ticket than you are to actually win the lottery.

Other people's boyfriends take them out for elaborate meals, and buy them Tiffany bracelets. My boyfriend, though, is eighteen, lives by himself, goes to school, pays rent and has no money. Our dates are nights in with movies. When I see him going through his change jar to treat me to some chocolate, it makes me wanna cry. His LGMH.

That is so great of him. Not to get all preachy, but it reminds me of the story in the Bible of the widow whose few small coins mean more than the rich people's hundreds. :)

Wow! He sounds like such a selfless person. And by the way, khfreek, I don't think that was necessary. If you don't like that person's story, just go on to the next one. No need to be negative or rude.
