I mentioned once on a facebook status that I didn't like what we had at home for me to bring to school for lunch, so I'd just skip lunch. The next day my friend put a paper bag lunch with my name on it on my desk. She didn't know that we didn't have any food at all for me to bring. Her kindness GMH.

There are two golf balls sitting on the moon.

More info: On the first moon landing, US astronaut Alan Shepard swung a six iron four times. His first swing moved the ball less than a meter; his second swing missed and kicked up some dust. The third swing hit that same first ball about 200 yards - a slice. Then he dropped a second ball, and his fourth swing hit the ball about 400 yards.

I am battling cancer. I was transferred to an out-of-state hospital for a liver resection. When I woke, I found my fiance beside me, 17 hours from home. I asked him why he had come, he said "The day we get married I want to be able to look you in the eye and have you know that when I say 'in sickness and in health,' I mean it."

Ask and it is given. Pride is good but if people don't know what you need they cannot help! I recently heard that a friend of mine was in court as she couldn't pay the rent (not her fault). It was a small sum and I lend it to her. but if the other friend who knew about it hadn't told me I couldn't have helped her and my friend and son would be homeless now... so be open and mention your situation a bit. nothing to be ashamed of and I am sure you will get more amazing surprises like the one you had. I always say when I invite friends or lend them money that you never know... in a few years it could be the other way round (hope not) or you can pay it forward then. I believe in miracles. keep up the faith! x
