Want to get your story posted? The way the story is written is VERY important. Try to end your story with a punch-line. If you can, QUOTE SOMEBODY in the story. It's OK to capitalize a word or two to add emphasis. And USE (first) NAMES!

How it works: GMH visitors vote on all submissions on the 'Vote on Upcoming Stories' page for 4 days, and the best stories each day are posted on the home page. So if your story doesn't appear there, as many as 100 people still read it and smiled while moderating!

Today I was riding the bus to college, and a lady in a wheelchair got on.

When she had trouble turning around, the 4 students in the front seats offered to lift and turn it for her.

They then moved to the back of the bus so the driver could buckle her in.

The best part? This isn't the first time I've seen this happen.

My classmates' consideration GMH

A year ago, a woman was diagnosed with terminal ovarian cancer.

Her son is on the basketball team at my school.

During the basketball season, every one of the team members (all boys) painted their fingernails teal (ovarian cancer awareness's color).

When his mom died, every one of those boys went to her funeral.

They GMH.

My mom recently told me how big of a heart my 10 year old brother really has.

He has 3 disabled kids in his class that everyone laughs at.

She said one day he asked her why they laugh at them.

It's really mean.

He's best friends with all 3 of them now.

The way my brother sees everyone equally GMH.

Some awesome lists!

I posted sticky notes with nice sayings all over the bathrooms at school.

Later, my history teacher asked if I did it, and I admitted to it.

She told me she knew it right away.

Her faith in the resident school crazy girl - with a record of suspensions and police encounters - as someone with a heart GMH

Today, I asked out someone and they said yes.

We're both guys.

And even though I knew they wouldn't care,

My friends immediately began commenting on Facebook page about how happy they were.

My amazing and supporting friends GMH.
