I was in class one day when my boyfriend, who had been deployed for two years, came walking into the classroom. I had no idea he was back in the States. I've never cried harder in my life then I did when I saw him walk in. As I was hugging him, he got down on one knee and proposed to me. We're getting married in the fall. GMH.

Last year, I was going to kill myself. I wrote a note and slipped it into my best friend's locker at school. That night, I was preparing to die, when she crawled through my window and kissed me. My first real kiss.

A long time ago, I was on the verge of committing suicide when a guy came to the roof to have lunch. He saw me climbing over the railing and asked me to share his lunch with him. After receiving my puzzled look, he explained, "everyone should die happy. or at least with a full stomach." We celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary last month. GMH.

One day I received in the mail from my grandmother a little slip of paper from an article asking kids "what does love mean?". One boy answered, "Love is when a girl puts on perfume and a boy puts on shaving cologne and they go out and smell each other", this 5 yr old GMH.

Today, I was out to dinner when I saw a group of teenager girls dining together next to an old woman by herself. One of the girls asked the old woman to join them, and her face lit up as she accepted and moved over to their table. They GMH.

When I entered middle school I saw this super cute seventh grade boy. I liked him ever since that day even though we NEVER talked. Then one day in my sophomore year he came up to me during lunch. He said, "You know, I've always thought you were beautiful." That blew me away. We have been married for 11 years. To this day he GMH.

In my first year of my nursing degree, I was so nervous about giving my first ever injection to a patient. The patient told me to relax, take a breathe, and that the faster you inject it the sooner it would be over. My patient was 8 years old, and I still pray that she survived. Princess, you GMH.

Today, I woke up and my wife was more beautiful than I'd ever seen her. We've been married 15 years. GMH

When I was 16, I tried to commit suicide, by jumping off a bridge into the river.

Tomorrow, I'll say "I do." to the man who risked his own life pulling me out.

Three years ago, almost to the day, I left a note in a guy from my French class' textbook asking him to call me. That day, being the last day of school and the last day I would ever see him, I told him to check inside his book, before I ran away. We're still together. Take that chance.

I was crying after a bad day. My three year old brother came into my room and cuddled in bed with me. When I didn't acknowledge him, he went out to the kitchen and came back with an ice cream sandwich and his favorite stuffed animal. He put them in bed beside me and petted my hair. His love GMH

At Homecoming this year, many of the girls in my grade did not have any dates. While the entire freshman class gathered to take pictures, a boy started passing out flowers to every girl in our class, making sure to give us ones to match our dress colors so we could all feel special. He GMH.

There's a news report about a 7 year old girl who has a brain tumor. She's on a ventilator. There is nothing the doctors can do for her. Her family wanted to bring her to her home in another state but it cost $11,000 for the special plane. Fedex stepped up and gave $11,000 for this little girl to be able to spend her last days at home. Fedex GMH.

When I was 9, my best friend Catie was from a broken home. Her mother dropped her off at my house a few days before her birthday. She didn't pick her up for a week. My parents threw Catie an entire birthday party, complete with cake, decorations, and lots of presents, I can still remember Catie's smile and it GMH.

Today I was babysitting for a 5-year-old and a 7-year old. The 5-year-old is really afraid of thunder. When it started to thunder, I was surprised when she didn't come ask me to lay in her bed. I went to check and saw her big sister cuddling with her and telling her that thunder was just angels bowling. GMH

I had surgery on my growth plate in 6th grade. After, I was in the hospital room, in pain and feeling sorry for myself. When I looked out my window to the other hospital rooms across the courtyard, I saw a bald, smiling and bubbly toddler wave up at me, and I waved back, happier. He had cancer and was only 4, but his smile and spirit still GMH.

On 11/11 at 11:11pm, on top of the Empire State Building, my boyfriend told me to make a big wish, because i couldn't have one like it for a whole year. Moments later, he asked me to marry him. His 11:11 wish? That I would say yes. We've been married three months. The fact that fairy tales do come true GMH.

For four years my best friend held my hand through an emotionally abusive relationship while hiding his deep love with me. Today he will be holding my hand while walking out of the church after our wedding. The fact that he has already loved me through thick and thin GMH.

Every day since I started Chemistry my teacher has come into school at 6:30 AM so that I can get the extra help I need to get a scholarship to college, since I cannot afford it. The catch? He's not my Chem teacher. He's my history teacher, and is learning right along with me. His dedication GMH

At the beginning of every month my father buys as many warm sleeping bags as he can afford. Why? So that every time he sees a homeless person walking by (which is a lot in our area) he pulls over his truck and hands them a brand new sleeping bag and a $20 and says, "God Bless and Stay Warm." I went to a Taylor Swift concert the other day, and there was a couple who was sitting right in front of me in their mid-30's. The whole concert they smiled, took pictures, screamed with all the little girls, and had the best time. I took their picture to remember them. Their love GMH.

Due to financial struggle, my family discovered we could no longer keep our house. Our neighbors have taken us in and given us the empty apartment in their house. There's a boy at my school who is in a wheelchair. He can walk a little bit, but only for short periods of time. One of my best friends asked him to the school dance and that night I saw him in the middle of the gym, dancing to the music as best he could. People were staring, but he didn't care. Yesterday, when I took my four year-old daughter to a bookstore, she found a book on a bottom shelf and took it to a group of three teenage girls, asking them to read it to her. The first two girls ignored her, but the last girl read to her for half an hour with sound effects and all. That girl GMH.

I've never been called beautiful before. Yesterday, my boyfriend and I celebrated our one year anniversary. With my sweaty and messed up hair, he cupped my face, looked me in the eyes, and whispered, "You're beautiful". His love GMH.

Im clinically depressed and alot of the time my anger and sadness gets released in words directed at my girlfriend. No matter how many times I try and push her away and how many times I may tell her to just leave, everytime she manages tell me how much she loves me and how she won't leave me for anything. Today, I was walking in a dog park. I reached this really steep hill, and noticed someone rolling down it, laughing the whole way. At first I passed it off as a just a kid. Then I noticed that it was a woman at least 60 years old, and that her husband was waiting at the bottom of the hill to catch her. They GMH

At my school, there is a girl who was born a dwarf and she went to the dance. For most of the night, she sat by herself in a corner 'cause she was too small to dance with anyone. Then a boy off the baseball team asked her to dance. He got onto his knees so they could dance comfortably together. GMH!

Today I made a wish at 11:11. I kissed the boy I love most. It was my first kiss. Wishes GMH.

Years ago me and some friends were sitting in a fast food place eating our burgers when a little boy turned around from his meal and while looking at us said to his mother "look at the pretty girls mommy". I'll never forget that. It was the first time someone said i was pretty. He GMH.

I'm a deaf high school student. Last week was School Spirit Week, and one activity last week was to dress up as an inspirational person you knew or knew about. I went to school without dressing up like anyone, and when I got to school I found that 20 or 30 kids had dressed up like ME! I cried because they understood what I go through. They GMH.

One day I was feeling extremely depressed, and was on the verge of suicide when my girlfriend signed in to MSN messenger and told me "I sent an angle to watch after you, but she came back and said angels don't watch after other angels" one of many times she's saved my life. Today, I got tripped by a random 6th grader at our school's registration. I sat out in the open and cried after I scraped my knee deep, and nobody seemed to care. Then, a cute little boy at about the age of 4 walked up to me and gave me a hug and a kiss on the cheek and said, "Itto be ow-kay!" His cuteness and kindness GMH

Today I was dressed as a bear and went around a carnival hugging people. I saw a girl about 16 crying, so i gave her a really big hug. She told me that she was ditched by all her friends who only invited her as a joke and my hug made her feel important. Small gestures DO make a difference, this GMH.

When my grandparents first got engaged, my grandpa couldn't afford an engagement ring. A few years ago, on their 50th wedding anniversary, my grandpa stood next to my grandma and lowered himself onto one knee and opened a box that held an emgagement ring. He asked her to marry him. GMH.

Yesterday, my boyfriend and I went on the ferris wheel at a festival, and my boyfriend is terrified of heights. We were sharing a carriage with a father and daughter. The little girl held my boyfriend's hand the whole way, assuring him that nothing bad would happen. Her fearlessness GMH.

Monday was my first day of high school. I had moved from a different state and didn't know a soul. I sat alone at lunch. A girl came up and handed me a small goody bag filled with candy, lipgloss and pencils. She also sat and talked to me for the entire period, plus walked me to my next class. Her kindess GMH.

I work in an animal shelter. Today, an 18 year old girl came in and asked which cat was the oldest and had been there the longest. I told her, and she adopted him without a second thought because she thought he needed a second chance. He was 16 and losing his fur. Her unconditional love GMH.

A few weeks ago, a friend and I went to the mall. We passed by Johnny Rocket's and saw an old couple dancing in front of the restaurant, extraordinarily happy and without a care in the world. That was the day that I learned what true love really was. GMH.

Last year, around Christmas time, my mother and I were leaving a store, and had just bought hot chocolate. Right as we started walking to the car, my mom went back inside and bought a hot chocolate for the man who was standing outside ringing a bell for the Salvation Army donations. My mother GMH.

I had two exams back to back one day, and when I got done my friend was waiting for me outside class with freshly cooked noodles because he figured I needed a pick-me-up. GMH

I give my five kids extra lunch money once a week for ice cream. One day a couple of years ago, while going through a hard time, my 6-yr-old gave me a little package he'd wrapped himself. He had saved his ice cream money for two months to buy me a rubber bracelet from the school bookstore printed with the word "Hope". GMH.

I have an old laptop that hardly works. The hinges broke, so I went to a computer store today to buy new ones. I ended up being about $70 short, and my next payday won't be for another week, but I need my laptop for school. I almost cried, until the man behind me put a hand on my shoulder and pulled a 100 dollar bill out of his pocket.

I was eating chips and I found one particular chip shaped in a heart. I immediately took a picture of it on my phone and sent it to my girlfriend saying, "Thinking of you." She responded by sending me a picture of her day-brightening smile saying, "Thinking of YOU
