I was recently working at a nursery school where I saw a 3 year old girl wearing tights on her head. One of my colleagues told me it was because some of the children had been making fun of her bald head. She had had chemotherapy. I later saw one young boy of about 4 go over to her, tell her she was beautiful and remove the tights. GMH x

A little girl was dying of cancer and her younger brother had a match for the bone marrow she needed. The doctors told him it was a matter of life and death. After he had the surgery, he asked the doctors how long he had to live. He thought if he gave his bone marrow to let his sister live he would die but he did it anyway. GMH

Today, my little cousin cut 8 inches off her hair and donated it to a foundation dedicated to girls with cancer to make wigs. She wasn't really happy about her new haircut so I told her I thought it looked beautiful. She replied "At least someone else will feel pretty, so that makes me feel beautiful on the inside". I work in a bank - a place where good news is hard to come by recently: Today I spoke with a gentleman who told me he needed to know how much money he had. When I asked if he had a large purchase coming up, he said yes. "I'm buying clothes for the man who asks me for a quarter every day on my way to school," he replies. This gentleman was 12. GMH

Today on Facebook I found a group created by a guy who found someone's camera while traveling. He really wants to return the camera, which is full of memories, but has no idea who it belongs to. 230,000 people have joined the group to pass along the message. Kindness GMH.

I'm a camp counselor, and I was not having a good day -- the kids were out of sorts, I had a lot on my mind, and I was losing my temper easily. Then a 6-year-old camper came over and said to me, "If you were a little kid, and they told us to pick partners, I would pick you." It was so sweet and genuine, and it GMH.

For years, I have been donating $10/month to sponsor YMCA memberships for poor kids, but never seeing the results. Then during a basketball game I coached, one kid asked if he could play just the second half. I asked why. "Because my brother is wearing the shoes." His brother is on the on the other team. They share one pair of shoes. GMH

Every year, the graduating 8th grade class votes for superlatives. The teachers add up the votes. When 'Jordan A' was announced for Most Inspirational, teachers were in tears to see our entire class who never get along, give a standing ovation. He died in a fire in fourth grade and we still consider him part of our class.

This past Mother's Day, I had visited my Grandmother's grave in the cemetery.

On her grave site laid a rose with a note attached "to a lovely woman who lead a wonderful life, Happy Mother's Day". As I looked around other grave sites had roses as well.

Last week, my three year old daughter asked if she could send a letter to god asking why sparky, our 12 year old dog had to go to heaven. Later that day, she mailed that letter.

Two days later, we received a letter from an anonymous person saying that Sparky is fine and not to worry and that he will always be with us in memory.

In San Fran this little girl decided she wanted to help feed the homeless. She set a goal of raising $1000. The San Fransico Food bank "told her several agencies had pledged to provide $9 in food for every $1 donated to the food bank". She eventually raised $3736, which equalled $33,624 worth of food or 17,971 meals. She's only 5 & in preschool.GMH

My sister was driving to Denver, when her car broke down. She had forty dollars and an almost dead cell phone, stuck out in the middle of the mountains. A man and his daughter stopped, figured out what the problem was, drove to buy a part (exactly 40 dollars!) and then that man spent 5 hours by the side of the road, fixing my sisters car. GMH

Watching the news I heard about an SUV that had caught fire, inside was a mom and her two young children. They all survived with fairly minor burns. The only reason they made it was because everyone who saw the fire rushed to help and break down all the windows and pull them out, before the firemen could even arrive.

A few weeks ago, a guy from my school collapsed after basketball practice.
