I am a foster mom, a few years ago we had a little boy who had been severely abused his whole life.

He was very angry and often acted out against me.

Every day I would tell him that I loved him and he would scream back " NO YOU DON'T" and hit and kick me.

I continued to tell him I loved him each day and one day he answered, I love you.

When I was in second grade I came home and found a bag with my name on it.

Inside was a cat stuffed animal my grandfather thought I would like.He drove half an hour just to put it on my doorstep.
