Want to get your story posted? The way the story is written is VERY important. Try to end your story with a punch-line. If you can, QUOTE SOMEBODY in the story. It's OK to capitalize a word or two to add emphasis. And USE (first) NAMES!

How it works: GMH visitors vote on all submissions on the 'Vote on Upcoming Stories' page for 4 days, and the best stories each day are posted on the home page. So if your story doesn't appear there, as many as 100 people still read it and smiled while moderating!

My little brother has autism.

He has never talked or been active, but he always observes everything around him and seems to contemplate everything.

Yesterday, he was watching me swim in the pool, and he stood up, jumped into to 8ft-deep water, swam to me and said "Look, Sara!

I'm just like you!"

He has been talking away ever since.

14 years ago, expectant parents were told their baby tested positive for down syndrome.

Asked if they want to abort her they didn't even THINK about their response.

14 years later that baby doesn't have down syndrome.

Thank you mom & dad for not giving up on me.

You GMH.

I won't let you down.
