My friend died days short of his 18th birthday.

On his 18th birthday we buried him.

That day his Mom told me not to be so sad because he was celebrating his birthday with his Dad and God in Heaven.

My best friend lived in an abusive household.

When she was only seven she tried to kill herself.

When I started to cry from her story, she smiled at me and said, "God kept me alive so I could meet you."

For once I felt like my life had a purpose.

Her love for me GMH.

After my grandmother passed away, I have always see a small cardinal flying close to me as I run every morning.

This year my brother, Mark, died unexpectedly from a heart condition after we had just finished running half marathon.

The next morning as I was running I noticed that I was now joined by 2 cardinals.

The mysteries of nature GMH.

Today, I kissed the back of my hand to make sure my lips worked.

I am 12 years old and the boy I like has cancer.

He told me his three life long wishes:

1.

Get kissed 2.

Love someone 3.

Be loved back

At the end of the school day, he succeeded in all of the above.

For Jonny, who has a year left.

Tonight, I've been crying 3+ hours straight.

He walked in on me and said "There's no reason to cry.

I'll be with you for a long time, either physically, or watching over you."

My dad has been fighting terminal cancer for two years now.
