My mom was verbally abusive and separated me from the rest of my family.

Last year she kicked me out.

My Aunt Shelli whom I barley knew took me in.

Shes now my Auntie Mom and my best friend.

She is everything my own mother was SUPPOSED to be.

Aunts who step in as a substitute mom GMH.

Today, I saw a four year old child give her meal from McDonalds to a homeless mother and her child on the street.

That GMH.

My friends' brother and boyfriend are deployed fighting overseas.

Today she saw a group of people protesting the war and she walked right up to them and said "Soldiers fight not because they hate what is in front of them, but because they love what is behind them."

I am a foster mom, a few years ago we had a little boy who had been severely abused his whole life.

He was very angry and often acted out against me.

Every day I would tell him that I loved him and he would scream back " NO YOU DON'T" and hit and kick me.

I continued to tell him I loved him each day and one day he answered, I love you.
