There are but two boys in my high school who have openly admitted they are gay.

They are constantly spit at and beat on in school, yet the more confident always holds the shyer one's hand. Despite threats, they showed up to prom together, wearing matching suits.

A little girl in my area was hit by a car and died. She was 2 years old, and raised by a single mother who could not afford a headstone for her daughter's grave.

Inmates at a local prison heard her story and wanted to help. They saved $670 out of their monthly salaries to give this girl a proper burial.

I was the second child. My parents gave up their houses, jobs, money and country just to have me.

At my college graduation everyone is allowed to take a loved one with them as they walk across the stage.

The last girl to walk across held the arm of her 90 year old grandpa. As they crossed the stage the chancelor read her grandfathers name. Why? He graduated 60 years ago but didn't get to walk his own graduation because he was fighting in WWII. GMH.

I work with kindergarten children, and when a little girl wet her pants, we decided to give her dress up clothes to wear.

She was very upset and embarrassed so a little boy in the class put on a cinderella dress and held her hand the rest of the day, saying "look - everyone's laughing at ME!"

Today, me and my friend were asked by a 7-year-old if we were brother and sister.

I'm black and my friend is white. I said yes. The little kid seemed satisfied.

I'm in law enforcement, and one of my officers told me he attended church in a bad part of the city. He said that during the service, a drug dealer came in off of the street and put ALL of his drugs and a gun in front of the alter. He said call the cops, do what you have to, I give it all up today.

Two years ago, I was told that without a kidney transplant, I was going to die.

Just as I felt like giving up, my best friend died in a car crash. It turned out a week before she had registered as an organ donor. Thanks to her, I am alive two years later.
