Want to get your story posted? The way the story is written is VERY important. Try to end your story with a punch-line. If you can, QUOTE SOMEBODY in the story. It's OK to capitalize a word or two to add emphasis. And USE (first) NAMES!

How it works: GMH visitors vote on all submissions on the 'Vote on Upcoming Stories' page for 4 days, and the best stories each day are posted on the home page. So if your story doesn't appear there, as many as 100 people still read it and smiled while moderating!

My family is struggling financially.

I told my best friend Madison everything, from not having a bed, to not having food in my fridge.

She told her mom my whole story, and now her mom is working 5 extra hours a day to help us.

Her Love Gives Me Hope.

I have 3 really close friends.

All 3 are amazing, beautiful, accepting, nonjudgemental and some of the most funny and caring people you'll ever meet.

One is gay, one is bi and one is a lesbian, I am straight.

Our friendships through difference, and their kindness to others no matter what GMH.

My best friend was adopted.

His old mom never gave him toys - "he didn't deserve any," according to her.

He never even heard of Santa before.

When his adoptive mom heard this, she told him about Santa, and on Christmas day he woke up to piles of presents, consisting of toys, blocks, and a bike.

He's 15, and couldn't be happier.

GMH.

My friends know that I have to pay for my own bills and I never go out.

While at home one day, one of my friends that I barely talk to anymore, text me saying " movies, all of us tonight.

Its on me.

We just want to see your face!"

Friends til the end, GMH.
