Want to get your story posted? The way the story is written is VERY important. Try to end your story with a punch-line. If you can, QUOTE SOMEBODY in the story. It's OK to capitalize a word or two to add emphasis. And USE (first) NAMES!

How it works: GMH visitors vote on all submissions on the 'Vote on Upcoming Stories' page for 4 days, and the best stories each day are posted on the home page. So if your story doesn't appear there, as many as 100 people still read it and smiled while moderating!

While I'm working in comes this tough stereotypical bad guy.

I take his order:

Another worker takes an elderly woman's order.

The woman is trying to pay in food stamps but can't.

Without hesitation the man takes his extra money and hands it to her with a smile telling her to enjoy her food.

His Kindness GMH.

My cousin was born with a rare condition that caused his face to not form properly.

For a french class project, I had to make a poster with pictures of my family.

Some students were laughing at my cousin but a boy I didn't know said "I think he's the cutest kid I've ever seen."

Guys like that GMH.

Today, I was ordering food at a crowded Wendy's.

Suddenly the teenaged cashier, the only one on duty, quickly excused herself, & ran around the counter past me.

I turned around to see her opening the door for an elderly man struggling a bit with a walker.

I then heard her tell him, "Go sit down wherever- I'll come to you."

GMH.
