Want to get your story posted? The way the story is written is VERY important. Try to end your story with a punch-line. If you can, QUOTE SOMEBODY in the story. It's OK to capitalize a word or two to add emphasis. And USE (first) NAMES!

How it works: GMH visitors vote on all submissions on the 'Vote on Upcoming Stories' page for 4 days, and the best stories each day are posted on the home page. So if your story doesn't appear there, as many as 100 people still read it and smiled while moderating!

I recently shaved my head for cancer and had never felt so proud for myself.

Then I got a comment on Facebook saying that I looked ugly.

I would have felt ugly for months but friends, and some girls that I'd hardly ever spoken to, commented back saying that I've never looked more beautiful and they were so proud of me.

They kindness GMH.

I'm a freshman in highschool, during my first spring formal, I walked into the dining area not knowing there was a piece of toilet paper on my heel.

A boy who must have been a junior pulled me aside and told me I had something on my shoe.

I said thank you and he smiled and told me to have a good night, I was so thankful.

Older guys like that GMH.

Today, I logged onto GMH like every day.

But today, the first thing I read brought me to tears.

The poster said I was beautiful, and strong, and they told me not to give up.

Little did they know, my best friend and I had planned our double-suicide for tonight.

The stranger who saved my life GMH.
