Want to get your story posted? The way the story is written is VERY important. Try to end your story with a punch-line. If you can, QUOTE SOMEBODY in the story. It's OK to capitalize a word or two to add emphasis. And USE (first) NAMES!

How it works: GMH visitors vote on all submissions on the 'Vote on Upcoming Stories' page for 4 days, and the best stories each day are posted on the home page. So if your story doesn't appear there, as many as 100 people still read it and smiled while moderating!

My grandpa recently passed away from cancer.

I just found out that he was diagnosed before I was born.

The doctors told him he was gonna live for only a few more months.

I am now 16.

My grandpa has lived to see me, my sister, and my brother grow up.

He once told me "There is no expiration date on love."

My grandpa gives me hope.

I am 15 years old and have been raped, addicted to drugs, a cutter, and bulimic.

I happened to miss my bus the night I was going to commit suicide and was forced to go to this church.

I became best friends with the youth minister and have been recovering for the past year just so I don't disappoint him.

His love for me, no matter my past, GMH.
