My sister had friends over & one of them said "Look how pale she is!"
In front of everyone.
I have skin cancer.
I cried for hours.
My dad gave me the biggest hug & said "Id rather have you pale than not here with us."
My dad & I have never had a good relationship.
Knowing when to be there for me GMH.
When I was 13, my dad had a severe heart attack.
He made it through & I was able to visit him a few days later;
They said he may not remember some things.
I walked in the room & when he opened his eyes he said, "I love you babygirl."
& then he offered me his cereal from breakfast.
