The other day I watched a cashier serving an elderly lady at the till.
The elderly lady had very shakey hands and couldn't enter the PIN for her card properly. 
 
In the end her card was declined and she got upset because she had no cash. 
 
The woman at the counter told her to take the items as a gift, and paid the elderly lady's bill herself.
