When I was younger, I had a quinceñera.
Right before the father-daughter dance, my dad said he was going outside for some air and never came back. 
 
 When I told my friend this, she made me a little party hat and we had a mini birthday party/quinceñera in her room, saying she'd pretend to be my dad and celebrate with me.
