My best friend's mom always hated me because of my dyed hair and black clothing. She preferred her daughter's "normal" friends. Last year, my friend became suicidal, and I was the one who got counselors involved so that she could get help. Once my friend got better, her mom pulled me aside to thank me for saving her daughter.
