My 5th grade teacher was diagnosed with throat cancer in the beginning of the school year.
She had to have a long-term substitute for most of the year. 
 
So, in order to help pay for the expensive chemotherapy, we held a carnival to raise money. 
 
A small group of 11-year-olds managed to make over $6,000 for her treatment. They GMH
