I was at a bookstore and an obscure author was doing a book signing.
Nobody was coming over -- he looked dejected. Then three teenagers came over, got his autograph, and took pictures with him. It looked like it made his day.
Later, I talked to them and they said they had never read his books. GMH
Today I saw a girl from my floor of dorms walk out of the elevator.
For the entire time I've known her, she has been confined to a wheelchair.
Seeing her walk, slowly but surely, GMH.
(from MMT) Today, I slipped on ice and sprained my ankle on my walk home from work.
A young man in a wheelchair witnessed the incident and insisted on helping me. I ended up sitting on his lap as he wheeled me 8 blocks down the street to my apartment.

Last year at the end of school, I was deathly sick and in the hospital.
I couldn't return my books and get my yearbook. Sad and lonely, I got a visitor.
My sister came to me with a yearbook - signed to me by all my friends, telling me to get better. GMH
I read a news story about a 7yr old boy who calmly took his younger sister into the bathroom and called 911 when 3 armed men came into his house and threatened to kill his parents.
They came into the bathroom where the kids were, and when the boy said he called 911, the men ran away.
His bravery GMH
In 1938, Nicholas Winton helped 669 Jewish kids escape certain death from the Nazis.
They became known as Winton's children. 22 survivors, now aged 70, went to see Winton again. He is 100 and his family of survivors has swelled to 7000. They're all alive because of him.
Love and 7000 lives GMH.
Today I was approached by a homeless man who asked if I had any change.
I only had two dimes, but I gave it to him anyway. As I watched him walk away, he put the dimes in an expired parking meter of a stranger's car.
Someone who can't afford to buy himself something to eat but helps others GMH.
